The Beauty (2D Sequences)

The Beauty is a 9-minute animated installation about finding beauty in myself by facing my fears and living through cultural isolation. This portfolio piece presents the installation's 2D sequences. The work opens with sand animation and paper cutout, then moves into rotoscoped animation over live-action backgrounds I filmed in South Korea. Moving between handmade, tactile techniques and traced live-action footage reflects the central tension of the piece: a search for belonging in a place that is both familiar and foreign.
